Online Math Tutoring

The ARC now offers online math tutoring for students enrolled in the following math classes at UAHuntsville:

MA004, MA107, MA110, MA112, MA113, MA120, & MA171

Tutors are available Sunday - Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

To participate in online tutoring:

• Access your ANGEL account here or from the list at the right.
• Enter your UAHuntsville ANGEL username and password.
• Click the course ARC Online Math Tutoring.
• Click on the Math Tutoring room, then click Launch.
  • You will need the latest version of JAVA, which will be available for you to download free from the chat site.
  • If this is your first time, please click "Run Wizard." You will not be required to run the wizard each time you enter the room.
• You will be placed into a waiting room while the tutor is helping the student who logged on before you.

If you would like to speak with your tutor, there is a "push-to-talk" option or you can call in.

• While in the chat room, click on the telephone icon.
• A telephone number and a PIN number will pop up.
• Call that number and you will reach an automated system that will require you to input the PIN number given.
• After inputting the PIN, you will then be connected privately with the tutor.

Please remember...

• Tutoring sessions are limited to 15 minutes per student. It is important to have all of your materials (textbook, notes, etc.) ready when your turn comes up.
• Students are helped on a first-come, first-served basis; there may be a couple of students waiting already when you enter the room. Please be patient. The tutor will let you know when it is your turn.

Math tutors are also available Sunday - Thursday to answer questions submitted through e-mail to arcmath@uah.edu. Questions are typically answered within 24 hours Sunday - Thursday. If you need immediate help, please take advantage of the ARC's other tutoring services. You may make a walk-in appointment by clicking HERE or use our evening drop-in tutoring at CCRH.
