Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)

Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) provide assistance to students enrolled in specific courses that are considered historically difficult. PASS Leaders are undergraduate students who have received a high grade in the course for which they offer support. Their job is to attend class along with students and then hold review and discussion sessions designed to reinforce course materials. Students who attend PASS will gain the confidence, competence, and commitment necessary to be successful in the course. Students who regularly attend PASS are more likely to:

· Get better grades
· Develop effective learning and study skills
· Become successful independent learners
· Be prepared for the rigor and demands of academic work at the college level

For Students
Students who attend PASS become prepared for the rigor and demands of academic work at the college level.
For Faculty
By participating in PASS, you will help your students become successful, independent learners.
