Faculty's Role Before the term begins, there are several points that should be discussed by the PASS Leader with each faculty member. The faculty member is asked to agree to cooperate in the following manner: - The PASS Leader will attend class each time it meets. In addition, the PASS Supervisor might also attend some class sessions with the PASS leader at the beginning of the term. - The faculty member will be asked to make grades from the exams available to the PASS Leader as a means of determining whether or not students coming to PASS are performing at a higher level than those students not attending. Also for evaluation purposes, final course grades will be given to the PASS Leader at the end of the term. - The PASS Leader will be given a few minutes at the beginning of class to initiate and make announcements about the PASS program. - The PASS Leader and faculty member meet on a regular basis during the faculty member’s office hours. - The faculty member will be asked to submit mid-term and end-of-term written evaluations. |
